Plumpton Red Lazonby

salterwath
limestone

Adaptability is an adjective eminently suited to Plumpton Red Lazonby. This medium-grained red sandstone is strong enough in all planes to be used equally effectively as a paving material and as
vertical masonry product. Its base colour of salmon pink is enhanced by the brightness of quartz grains to give a sparkle that makes the stone one of the first choices for designers looking to use a
natural stone with life.

Plumpton Red Lazonby can be used as a cladding or paving aterial at thicknesses which encourages exciting design solutions. The combination of exceptional physical performance and intensity of colour is unique.

Specification guide

Quarried from Lazonby Fell, 3 miles north of Penrith, Plumpton Red Lazonby is a medium-grained sandstone, uniformly salmon pink in colour with a sparkle due to the presence of quartz grains. Extremely resistant to abrasion and weathering, Plumpton Red Lazonby can be used for most building applications including paving. Beds are up to 1500 mm deep and long, wide blocks can be obtained.
