Locharbriggs

A Permian sandstone from the Locharbriggs Quarry in Dumfries, Scotland, one of the oldest and largest sandstone quarries in Scotland. This is one of the few actively worked sandstone quarries in Scotland today.

Quarried since the 18th century, this pink to red medium grained sandstone is widely used across Scotland and England for walling and traditional and contemporary cladding and masonry styles. The impressive list of reference sites for Locharbriggs dates back to the 1700s and includes sites across Scotland and England as well as major landmark buildings in Edinburgh and Glasgow.

With extensive reserves readily available, Locharbriggs is perfect for all scale of projects: large and small.
