A carboniferous sandstone from the Rhondda beds of Pennant Sandstone, from the Gwrhyd Quarry near Swansea in Wales. A fine grained blue grey sandstone with brown and ochre tones, which is hand crafted by the masons in a random walling style, characteristic of Welsh and Cumbrian building styles.
