Manchester International Convention Centre

This prestigious City centre development was designed by the prominent Manchester architectural practice of Stephenson Bell. The design uses clean, sweeping lines to blend the glass, steel and stone to provide a contrasting yet sympathetic elevation treatment. The fixing of the stone was carried out by Laing O’Rourke Stonemasonry.

Locharbriggs Red Sandstone has been used widely throughout the North West of England as a stone matching the indigenous red sandstones which are no longer widely available.
