A sustainable business partner...
As a sustainable business partner, we believe in balancing environmental, social and economic impacts. The long term merits of all Marshalls business decisions are judged against three objectives:
Effective Protection of the Environment:
Our involvement with local communities and the measures we take to effectively protect the environment.
Social Progress which recognises the needs of everyone:
Engagement of employees is a core element in the success of our sustainability agenda, and the embedding of an open, values-based culture.
Maintenance of stable levels of economic growth:
Build upon the way the business is operated: from the technology we develop, through the core products we sell, and how they are marketed, with involvement of stakeholders.
All production sites are ISO 14001 accredited and all our quarries have active restoration plans. C02 produced as a result of operations is being reduced through initiatives such as energy optimisation projects. Marshalls has also achieved the Wildlife Trust's Biodiversity Benchmark at its Stoke Hall site in Grindleford, Derbyshire.
All company sites are BS0HSAS 18001 accredited and training requirements are identified to look after the welfare of all our employees. We work in partnership with the local communities, supporting local community, charity and educational initiatives and local businesses wherever possible.
All Marshalls Stancliffe Stones sites have BSI accredited management systems - either IS0 9001 or PAS 99. Masonry processing at each site encompasses continued investment, reduced waste and C02 reduction.
