Natural stone inspection

UK Supplier of Natural Sandstones and Limestones & British Stones

Marshalls Stancliffe Stones are the UK's leading supplier of natural sandstone, limestone and British stones. Providing an excellent range of dimensional natural stone products from our extensive quarry reserves across England, Scotland and Wales.

Marshalls Stancliffe Stones is keen to preserve the heritage of British natural stone, ensuring that plentiful reserves of dimensional building stone are readily available for conservation, refurbishment and commercial new build projects across the UK.

The attainment of the finest quality stones demands we physically control the manufacturing process with the utmost care. From quarry production, selection of natural stone blocks and slab, through to the finished masonry product. Each stone is individually selected and processed to optimise the quality and yield for each masonry project.

Our role is not just that of British natural stone supplier - we also provide:

  • Technical support and assurance
  • Construction guidance
  • Advice on natural stone suitability for specific projects

We use 3D drawing in the design process. This allows designers to see their designs as physical objects. It also ensures a high level of accuracy to the production process as each stone is reproduced to its correct spec.

With highly skilled masonry production and advanced, in-house CNC cutting and profiling capabilities, Marshalls Stancliffe Stones carefully crafts British natural stones to produce everything from traditional walling, masonry and cladding, through to unique bespoke design requirements in British natural stone.

As a national British natural stone supplier, our stones are used not only for buildings in areas local to the quarries, but also in other towns and cities across the UK where the aesthetics and technical performance (see petrographical examination) of the Marshalls Stancliffe Stoness complement their local stone buildings. For example the Derbyshire Stanton Moor Buff Sandstone and Stoke Hall Buff Sandstone have been used widely across Scotland and the North East of England as a suitable match to Scottish blonde sandstones which are no longer available.
