STONE DESCRIPTION:

Stanton Moor is a beautiful Derbyshire carboniferous sandstone, which has been used widely across the UK for all scale of projects - from major prestigious city centre developments to residential developments and private homes.

The stone has been extracted from Dale View Quarry near Matlock for many years. The striking colour of Stanton Moor features a buff base with brown, gold and wild pink variation, adding depth and interest to both traditional and contemporary building designs.

PROJECT SUMMARY:

The Challenge:

To build a housing development that would blend seamlessly into this historic Lancashire mill town.

The Solution:

The developer specified Stanton Moor sandstone as the perfect match for this sensitive residential development, fulfilling the brief to ‘blend seamlessly into the well established community’. This was achieved using standard 140 mm pitched face walling stone and masonry from the Stancliffe Stone product range. The developer’s understanding of the brief is clearly demonstrated by the continuity of design that this modern residential development achieves in a traditional environment.

Demand for this durable sandstone as coursed walling stone and masonry has grown considerably and is widely used throughout the UK for projects including large scale residential and prestigious housing schemes.
