Stokehall stanton moor

Stanton Moor is a Millstone Grit. The stone is extracted from the Dale View Quarry near Matlock, Derbyshire. It is fine to medium grained with beds of consistent buff and more variable pinks and golds. Since the quarry re-opened in 1983 demand for this durable sandstone has grown. Today it is one of the largest dimensional stone quarries in the country.
